Well hello my lovely readers! Things have been mighty hectic around our house lately so I haven't had the opportunity to get creative much lately, but I did have the opportunity to make some pieces that I donated to my sister's Relay for Life team. They had a raffle and featured a basket of my jewelry. Since we are trying to keep our house in "showing condition" (yes we are trying to sell our house) I have all of my jewelry stuff stuck away and cannot even find some of my stuff at the moment. So, because of this I made a different type of jewelry. These pieces are all strung on wire, so just a little different from most of my other pieces. Let me know what you think! Also, I'm going to be donating some pieces for the silent auction at the Relay for Life in Dyersville, IA in August. So, if you are someone reading from around there and are interested...stop by the Relay the night of August 5th and place a bid, proceeds go to a great cause and you could walk away with some new jewelry! So I'll stop yapping now and show you some pictures!

Sorry things have been pretty quiet around here lately. I haven't had much time to create new things, but I'm hoping with spring just around the corner (knock on wood) my creative juices will be out in full force and I'll be updating you all with great new fun things! Oh goodness, it has been a while. I have been making new jewelry here and there, but have either forgotten to take pictures or in reality have just been lazy in my posting. :) A lot of the stuff I make is on the spur of the moment so it goes out as fast as I get it done. ANYWAY, here is something I just started working on, scrabble tile pendants. I love the way they look and that they are just a cute whimsical necklace (these pictures are pre-bail attachement (the part the chain goes through)but you get the idea. The great thing is that pretty much anything can go on them, I chose initials because I get obsessed with something when I see it, but any picture, graphic or logo can be put on these, possibilites are endless. Price is $5 for the pendant (no chain). Contact me if you have an idea of what you'd like!

So...I've been a little erratic about my posting. The thing with me is that I usually make a great deal of pieces all at one time and then post them in a big group. I love when something I own can fulfill more than one need. I especially love this in my jewelry. I tend to gravitate towards the same colors when I'm shopping, every now and then I throw in a new color, but I definitely have my "go-to" colors. This means, that I can usually wear a necklace many times with many different things, but sometimes depending on the neckline of the sweater or shirt it can call for different lengths of necklaces. I recently have made a couple of longer necklaces that I have worn both as a single strand and also as a double strand.

I am also a sucker for symbolic items. The necklace with the green sweater is made of the birthstones of myself and 5 of my best friends from college. Everytime I wear it, it makes me think of them and smile.

I always love a trendy necklace or bracelet that goes perfectly with just one particular item, but a necklace that can be worn with several things that can never go out of style is never a bad investment.
